When I open an sql (pkb/)..) file, or when I'm editing such file in Eclipse, Eclipse is suddenly closed.

It looks just like https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/overlay-scrollbar/+bug/789123
but I disabled the liboverlay, and I only have it when opening or editing files with TOAD editor.

Using Eclipse Helios on Ubuntu 11.4 with java version "1.6.0_22"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.10.2) (6b22-1.10.2-0ubuntu1~11.04.1)
OpenJDK Server VM (build 20.0-b11, mixed mode)
without Unity and without overlay.
added system specs. Message was edited by: martin.fleurke_375

Hi Martin,

this may be a problem if the cause is in some other configuration than in TEE... As I already wrote, it is sometimes a problem running Eclipse under new Linux versions.
You can try to disable the syntax check if it is enabled. Then you can find and send us the Eclipse crash log, it should be in the eclipse folder. Do you have 32 or 64b Linux?

Where to send the error log to (of the VM, that crashed.)?
I have 32 bit Linux.
trying the disabled syntax check now. Not crashed yet...

Hi Martin,

please, send the log to modeling@quest.com.

And could you provide some more information on the workflow, when the crash happens? Like if you have anything open in editor etc. You can also add some screenshots in the email with the log.

Thank you very much. We will let you know ASAP.

Regards,
Lukas

Martin,

I think this might solve your problem with editor. TEE 1.2.5 will be released with a new version of syntax checking module. After update, try to enable syntax check please. We are interested if it will work on your Linux without crashing.

Thanks, Tomas
